Lisa Bodiford, Co-founder/ Executive Director
Lisa is the mother of Cody. Her desire is for Refuge Stays to be a ministry that continues to support children and families and her own personal fulfillment of Cody’s legacy. Lisa shares a passion for motherhood, family, and faith. She has served children and families for over 30 years in early childhood education, teaching pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade and working with nonprofits. When she is not focused on Refuge Stays, she is cultivating family time, visiting local coffee shops, journaling during quiet time, enjoying a bible study with friends, and vintage clothes thrifting.
Mika Billins, Director of Communications and Marketing
Mika is the sister of Cody. With a B.S. degree in Psychology and M.A. degree in Mass Communications, she understands the value of connecting with other through words. Mika has experience in corporate, private, and non-profit communications and marketing. Her enjoyment and expertise of writing and creativity extends to personal blogging and content creation. Mika is a self proclaimed “foodie” with passions that include traveling, wellness, and beauty products.
